MARK CARRIGAN

Civil Engineer / Irrigation Consultant

BIO

Mark originally started at SMK working in his university holidays where he was studying civil engineering at the University of Newcastle. Having originally grown up near Moree on a cotton farm, Mark returned home after finishing his Engineering degree and began work for SMK full time. In the few years that Mark has been working at SMK, he has continued to increase his knowledge in the agricultural sector by completing his Step 4 – Certified Irrigation Design course specialising in surface irrigation through Irrigation Australia.

This experience and education has enabled Mark to play significant roles in the development of large scale cotton operations, town drainage systems, weir design, geotechnical site classifications, feedlot design, major pipeline and large scale storage dam designs.

Through his memberships with Engineers Australian and Irrigation Australia Limited, Mark continually develops his education enabling him to consider the most innovative approaches and practices available.
